Trained as a painter, she filters a personal story from reality with great sensitivity that she decomposes according to her own abstract codes. Van Tichelen relates to the exhibition space in the same way as her studio. In situ interventions, they enter into a direct dialogue with the possibilities and limitations of the space, so that the objects are sometimes minimal and modest, but increasingly adopt large proportions.
