German artist Lothar Baumgarten (1944-2018) began in the 1960s to develop a critique of the system of naming. The works in this artists book documents three early nineties German Museum installations by the artist, all wall drawings displayed on the walls of the interior or facade of the museum, the placement of which force the viewer to reflect critically on the historically constructed meanings of words.
This deluxe edition of 30 numbered and signed copies goes with a numbered and signed print in which words and typography turn into a visual poem. (The paper of the print isa bit discoloured, even though the print has never been out of the original packaging).
